A year has passed

2021 is almost over. A lot has happened this year, but what have I done this year?

In March, I had a "tinfoil hat" phase where I wanted to go all out with protecting my privacy.

I installed Gentoo with the idea that I could trust software locally compiled from source more than precompiled binaries. I ended up going back to Artix after two weeks after having various problems and thinking it was a bit extreme.

I also started using RSS feeds to follow things, and started deleting many of my social media accounts including Reddit and Twitter.

I created this website so I could have a place to express myself however I wanted to. I now currently feel shy about what I say online, but hopefully I will fell less shy in 2022. I freaked out when I saw the "Nothing to block" button I made on Nathan's website.

I went back to school in person after doing online school and somehow being placed in the next grade level despite getting straight F's. I quickly realized that I didn't like school at all.

I turned 18 this year, and I am now a legal adult. I still feel bad for those 17 and under who have their freedoms taken until they reach some magic number. Can I only be responsible if the state says so? I became an anarchist this year, and this is one of the reasons why.
